My Home work!

Over the years, I have heard stakeholders complain about the poor quality of homework delivery. These issues cut across all levels in our educational system. The continuous record  of low performance in standardize test and examination cannot be differentiated from poor home work supervision and delivery.
Creating an environment that is conducive for doing home work is one of the sure ways towards academic success. Usually, home work is given to pupils for extension or to create opportunity for independent practice with view of consolidating on knowledge gained at school.

In developing good homework and study habits, Children need a permanent work space in their bedroom or another part of the home that offer privacy. They need to set aside ample time for home work. It’s important that we help children establish a household rule that the TV set stays off during homework.  Parents should be available to answer questions and offer assistance, but never do the child’s home work. If your child is struggling with a particular subject, and you aren’t able to help the child yourself, a tutor can be a good solution. Talk it over with your child’s teacher.
